NWG Survey for Frontline Services

Rationale
At present we are aware of 67 services across the UK who provide dedicated specialist sexual exploitation provision for children and young people. You are one of these services and we would like your help to develop a better picture about the provision of this work

While this survey can’t claim to provide a comprehensive picture of numbers of young people who are sexually exploited in the UK we do hope that it will build up a national picture about the levels of help and support available; the possible level of need; and the continuing inconsistency of provision across the UK.

As we’re all aware sexual exploitation continues to be ignored or misunderstood by those commissioning and funding services and large areas of the country continue to provide no provision. Collecting this information will hopefully provide details that will be useful to all NWG members developing funding bids, raising awareness and campaigning on this issue. We will publish and circulate the summary of results in September 2010.
